This is a video of Shrek, The Musical being performed at the Tony Awards. I chose it because it is really funny and does a great job of depicting what actually happened in this scene in the movie.

Literature
In what spare time that I do have I like to write. A lot. I had intended to post a different writing of mine but I seem to have misplaced the notebook. Anyways, I noticed A lot of people had posted excerpts from some of their favorite books or poems so I really hope that I don't miss the point of this post. I write what I know. I write about past experiences and things that I have gone through in my life. It can be dark sometimes and It will never come right out and be straight to the point but those are the best kinds of writings in my opinion; the ones that make you think. The ones where the words haunt you even after you've finished reading them.
"Back when I was a little girl things were so much simpler. Everything made sense. I never questioned why things happened or what they meant in the grand scheme of things. Honestly, I was happier. Who isn't though when they're five years old and have everything going for them? That would all change for me though by the time my next birthday came around. My life would forever be changed. I will never for the life of me be able to understand why it happened. I probably never will. Most of it I've managed to black out but somethings I'll never be able to forget. "

Music
Brand new is one of my favorite bands but honestly this is just one of those songs that you have to listen to because the lyrics pretty much speak for themselves. I think that everyone has, in some point of their life, felt at least partially the way that this man does when he sings.

Architecture
This is the Dune House, located in Atlantic Beach, Florida. It was made by the architect William Morgan in 1975 and is actually a duplex. He decided that he wanted to have an unobstructed view of the beach and the best way for him to accomplish that was to build his home into the sand dune that was there. I honestly love these types of houses that are built into or underneath the ground. I've always loved J.R.R. Tolkien and the "hobbit style" homes that his writing created. The fact that they can be so spacious but also conserve energy is just so great to me and one day, I would love to stay in that type of house or even possible be able to own one myself. I included the floor plan, which you can see below, just to illustrate the way that the house is laid out and the type of space that it actually does have on the inside.

Loss 48"x72", oil on linen, 2014 |
2. The artist uses oil paints and wide variety of darker colors in order to convey the message which in this case is loss of something, anything.
3.It will be different for every person but the way that it makes us feel will stir up the same kind of feelings and memories. For me it is the loss of many things, too many to name but it makes me think about all the things tht I have lost in my life and I can very easily relate to this painting.
